SRC - Student Representative Council

As the Student Representative Council of Oak Flats High we:-

• are the voice of the student body
• are involved in fund raising activities that benefit both students and agencies.
• are involved in all areas of decision making in the school.
• negotiate with school committees to improve the environment in which students interact.

Recent achievements of the S.R.C. include:-

• negotiating the repair of the senior car park
• repairing and repainting the basketball courts
• being involved in canteen duties
• replacing the honour board in the school hall
• co-ordinating the successful Back to School day activities
• sponsoring sports representatives with donations of over $1000

As the S.R.C. we represent the students and we are pleased that the teachers of Oak Flats High support us and our cause. It is an honour to be an advocate for students and is a role that we do not take lightly.

Students are elected by their peers and the Presidents and Senior Executive are elected by the SRC themselves.

The make up of the S.R.C. is:-

• President – Female – Year 12
• Vice President – Year 12
• Secretary- Year 12
• Treasurer – Year 12
• Minutes Secretary – Year 12
• Six Year 11 Representative
• Six Year 10 Representatives
• Four Year 9 Representatives
• Four Year 8 Representatives
• Four Year 7 Representatives

Each of the S.R.C. students are expected to assist in the Canteen once each fortnight.
