Chemistry 2 Unit  - contributes to a UAI
Senior Science  2 Unit  - contributes to a UAI, but less academically rigorous than Biology, Chemistry or Biology.

Subject requirements
More important than any of the material needs listed below; all Science students should bring with them an inquiring mind and a sound work ethic.  Science courses have a significant practical component in them, particularly agriculture and marine studies, and a key focus of the OFHS Science faculties’ teaching focus is learning through investigation, actually doing Science rather than simply reading and writing about it.

Material needs

Junior School
All Science students in the junior school are required to have an exercise book with a minimum of 240 pages, which needs to be covered with your name and class clearly written on the front cover.  A large A4 exercise book of 200 pages min could also be used.
As some assignments have a substantial computer based component and so a USB2 Flash drive would also be of great benefit.

Agriculture students are required to have an A4 exercise book of approximately 100 pages, appropriately covered and labelled as above.

All students should carry with them a pencil, ruler, eraser and 3 pens- black, blue and red to all lessons.

Senior School
We find that senior students’ needs in the various senior courses vary greatly but the most popular options are either A4 exercise books or loose leaf A4 sheets in a ring binder.

As some assignments have a substantial computer based component and so a USB2 Flash drive would also be of great benefit.
